Ahni is the perfect “Public Relations” Alpaca! She has a sweet personality and is very approachable. Her nickname comes from her prior owner, one of our clients. We just fell in love with her for a number reasons. She has a tremendously luxurious handle, wonderful brightness, great staple length and a nice crimp that is consistent throughout her blanket. Guard hair is not apparent, and her coverage is excellent. She’s get’s a nice head from her sire. A strong, compact frame with a top line that is perfect rounds out the package. And the cute little milk-colored goatee is a bonus! She ribboned in 6th place in her 2018 appearances at TXOLAN and MOPACA.
Her sire is Dodger, a winner of EIGHT BLUE RIBBONS as of February, 2017. And SIX of these are halter wins! One of the 1st Place wins was in the 2013 Small Breeders Challenge, a national show. HIs extremely dense fiber, wonderful fineness, beautiful crimp and very good structure in his dark fawn fleece are echoed in Ahnni.
She is the first time offspring of her dam, Rose. Her dam is a nice sized Alpaca so we expect that Ahni should get that size factor as she continues to mature. Rose got her good bone structure and size from her renowned sire, Snowmass Matrix Madness, and her dam, our own Cameo.
