We are definitely “Something to do in Gainesville, Texas!” Visit our Ranch—Book an Appointment, but…
Please read this information first!
How much does it cost?
A Ranch Visit for Pleasure (Alpacas + Store) is $10.00 per appointment time —NOT per person.
Expecting to make a one-hour visit with your group and then only pay the $10 fee is not a valid interpretation of your booking fee.
Donations to our hay & feed fund and/or especially making purchases in our ranch store enable us to stay open to the public. We are dependent upon—and thankful for your generosity!
This $10.00 appointment fee is non-refundable if you cancel/request to rebook with less than 24 hours’ notice, or you are a No Show. Cancellations or Rebooking Requests must be made online more than 24 hours prior to your appointment; our appointment booking system does not allow either with less than 24 hours’ notice. If you become aware that you cannot appear at your scheduled time less than 24 hours before, the courtesy of a phone call is appreciated. Not appearing or calling before your scheduled time is considered a No Show.
If Aubrey Oaks Alpacas cancels your appointment due to weather or another natural emergency after you have been charged, the $10.00 fee will be applied to a future appointment.
By booking an appointment you are acknowledging that you have read and agreed to our 24 hour Cancellation policy and No Show policy.
Important Considerations…
Thanks in advance for not being too early or too late as we work on a schedule here at the ranch.
We appreciate any donations you can make to our hay & feed fund. A suggested amount is $5 per person.
NOTE: Thanks for understanding that Guests may not* bring their own dogs to our ranch! (*Harvest Host guests are an exception)
Our ranch hours vary seasonally as hot weather will shorten our availability during the summer, with earlier appointments delayed during the winter.
What you can expect when you Visit our Ranch—Book an Appointment

-
We also have a selection of our Alpaca products displayed in the front rooms of our home. We ask that you take time to peruse them as a part of your ranch visit. You are able to preview our products at: Purchase Alpaca Textiles
Due to staffing and driveway considerations we are unable to accept visits from large tour buses. Usually we are able to entertain about 10 guests per visit. Special arrangements for student groups more than 10 can be made by phone. Infants and young toddlers should be held or in a stroller for their safety.
Please note: Under Texas Law (Chapter 75A, Civil Practice & Remedies Code), an Agritourism entity is not liable for any injury to or death of an Agritourism participant resulting from an Agritourism activity.
Alpacas and our livestock guard dog(s) are not inherently dangerous, but it is important to post the above statement here as well as on our property so that everyone understands the law as it applies to our Ranch.
